Twin Eagles Wilderness School eNewsletter - January 2026
Greetings from Twin Eagles Wilderness School. We're in the midst of a winter snowstorm here in Sandpoint, with thick flakes falling and the landscape steadily disappearing into white. It's the kind of day that draws us inward, toward warm fires, shared stories, and quiet reflection. Winter has a way of reminding us that not all movement is forward and fast. Some movement is slow, cyclical, and deeply necessary. As this new year begins, we find ourselves listening closely to that wisdom of the season.
Here at Twin Eagles, winter is also a season of preparation. While we're tending our current programs, we're also quietly getting ready for the spring and summer months ahead. In this newsletter you'll find an update on our 2026 Summer Camps, along with information about other programs unfolding this year. We invite you to take some time to read through what's shared below, get oriented, and see what feels like a good fit for you and your family as the year continues to take shape.
Here is what we have in store for you in this month's eNewsletter:
- Summer Camps 2026 Taking Shape!

Summer Camps 2026 Taking Shape!
Mark your calendar! Twin Eagles Summer Camps 2026 registration will open online on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:00 pm Pacific.
We're happy to share that our summer camp webpage is now fully updated with dates, ages, locations, and pricing for the 2026 season. This coming summer we'll be offering 16 different summer camps, including our much-loved theme-based day camps, our immersive overnight camps, and our newer summer day camps in Bozeman, Montana. In recent years, summer camps have continued to fill quickly, and we expect that to be true again in 2026.
Between now and registration opening, we encourage families to take some time to explore the summer camp offerings, look closely at the different options, and talk together about which camps feel like the best fit. Having a plan in place ahead of time helps registration go smoothly and increases the likelihood of getting the camps you're most excited about when registration opens.

Girls Rite of Passage
For 13 - 16 year old girls
Thursday April 30 - Sunday May 3, 2026
Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat, Priest River, ID
The journey from childhood to adolescence is a dramatic time of development. Just like the fledgling bird that leaves the nest, the Girls Rite of Passage is an opportunity for girls to expand their wings and begin to take flight. It's a crossing. A place where two roads meet. Those two roads are where your daughter was once a child and is now emerging into adolescence.
This program is a coming of age ritual that has been taking place since humans have been on the planet. These types of traditions are common throughout the world and across cultures. It's a unique blueprint that stands apart from every day ordinary life and at the same time, brings new depth, understanding and meaning to it.

Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat - Priest River, Idaho
Imagine having a time where you and your daughter can retreat to nature to nurture your relationship with one another. Imagine being nestled in a community and the common bond of other mothers and their daughters in the sanctuary of nature. Accompanying you on this adventure are female guides who can hold you and your relationship with your daughters as sacred and support the growth of your relationship when and where it counts. It's a time to really be present to your journey as a mother and to that very special gift in front of you - your daughter.

Father Son Wilderness Program
For fathers and their 9 - 13 year old sons
Thursday May 21 - Monday May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day Weekend)
Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat - Priest River, Idaho
Imagine taking five days with your son(s), and connecting deeply with nature and your boy(s) through ancestral wilderness survival skills, all within a small "tribe" of other fathers & sons that are like minded with similar values. During this program, we'll make fire by friction, build and sleep in natural shelters, learn traditional hunting and gathering techniques, and track wild animals. Primitive wilderness survival isn't a "Man vs. Wild" scenario, it is an opportunity to build a deep relationship with the Earth. As you and your son do so, you'll find that your relationship with your son deepens in powerful ways.

Discover how to inspire curiosity and connection in others through mentoring, storytelling, games, and the ancient model of the medicine wheel.
