Twin Eagles Wilderness School
eNewsletter - July 2015

Summer greetings from all of us here at Twin Eagles Wilderness School! We're grateful to be thriving during the fullness of summer. Serviceberries, bunchberries, and huckleberries are ripe, white tail fawns are getting big as bucks are in velvet, and the yellowjackets are here! The heat has subsided some, but overall the heat wave still has a grip on our bio-region.

Our summer camps are thriving as well. All of our day camps are complete for the season, and what a blast they were! 180 kids in day camps alone this summer, with another 60 involved in our overnight camps which start next week.

There have been so many precious moments of connection already this summer, from slough slogging, song making, thanks giving, story telling, fire making, shelter building, stealth walking, fox walking, owl eyeing, nest finding, animal tracking, snake catching, frog stalking, river floating, mystery making, friendship making, community building, family deepening, joy creating, hope making, mentor training, edge pushing, inner working, self loving, and nature connecting. Yeah!

Here's what we've got for you in this months newsletter:

Feature Article: Can Mud Make Us Cleaner?

Can Mud Make Us Cleaner?

It emerges from the ground with a soft, wet, earthy smell in the spring and summer. When the sun hits it, it shines. You can squish your toes in it and feel delight from its cool, smooth dampness. You can slide in it and be surprised at where you'll land. You can build with it, make art with it, soak, or take a bath in it, get a facial with it, wrestle in it, stomp in it, and get downright dirty in it. On top of all that, it's free!

Mud, glorious mud!

Twin Eagles Wilderness Immersion & Gap Year Programs Update

Wilderness Immersion Program

Do you yearn to feel like a part of nature rather than an onlooker? Do you feel a responsibility to our Earth? Are you seeking your contribution to the world? Do you want to fully experience nature rather than just learn about it? Do you want to find a community of like minded people? Are you seeking truth, the truth of who you really are?

If you answered yes to even some of these questions, then consider the Twin Eagles Wilderness Immersion Program or Gap Year Programs. It is all about taking the essence of nature and weaving it into our modern experience. It is about feeling the kinship that comes only from roaming the wilderness together. It is about diving deep into the underground of human consciousness, and discovering the hidden gems that await. It is about deep mentoring that brings out the very best of who you are.

Twin Eagles Wilderness Immersion and Gap Year Programs are transformational journeys that bring back to life the skills and wisdom of our earth based ancestors:

Wilderness Survival & Primitive Skills
Wildlife Tracking
Wild Edible & Medicinal Plants
Permaculture & Regenerative Design

Bird Language & Native Scout Teachings
Inner Tracking - Know Thyself

These programs are a huge step forward on the path of deeply connecting with nature, community, and consciousness.
