Come Lend a Hand This Autumn

Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat Center

Autumn Work Party at Medicine Circle

Saturday, October 17, 2026
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat Center, Priest River, Idaho

We’d love to have you join us for a day of meaningful work, good food, and community at Medicine Circle.

Each year, this gathering gives us a chance to care for one of the places that has supported so many Twin Eagles programs, families, mentors, and transformational experiences over the years. It’s also simply a good way to spend an autumn day together: working with our hands, helping prepare the land for winter, and reconnecting with people in the wider Twin Eagles community.

And we could genuinely use the help. Many hands make a huge difference on a day like this, and even a few more people can help us accomplish far more together.

Projects this year will include cleaning up forest debris, moving and stacking firewood, building covered firewood storage, putting kitchen and base camp supplies away for winter, moving tipi poles and felt floors into storage, and helping prepare camp equipment for the colder months.

For those who have a chainsaw and are experienced and competent using it, there will also be downed trees to buck up for firewood.

Twin Eagles will provide a hearty lunch for everyone who joins us.

What to Bring:

  • Work gloves
  • Sturdy boots
  • Personal dishes for lunch (plate, bowl, utensils)
  • Water bottle
  • Warm layers and rain gear
  • Ear protection if you'd like
If you have them and are experienced using them, you're also welcome to bring:

  • Chainsaw
  • Battery-powered drill/driver
Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect and can plan food for the day. Let us know about any dietary needs, and we'll send along a map and directions.

>> RSVP for the Autumn Work Party

Whether Medicine Circle is a place you know well or somewhere you’ve never been before, you’re warmly invited to join us. This is a simple way to contribute to a place that has held so much for our community.

This is not a youth program, and the focus of the day will be getting meaningful work accomplished together. Children are welcome to attend with a parent or other responsible adult, and we encourage them to participate in the work in age-appropriate ways. We ask families to come with the intention that both adults and kids will be able to contribute meaningfully to the day.

We hope you can join us. Your help really matters, and it would be great to spend the day together.

Autumn Blessings,

The Twin Eagles Wilderness School Team

P.S. If you know someone who would enjoy a hands-on day outside and might like to help, please feel free to pass this along.
