Twin Eagles Wilderness School
Greetings from Twin Eagles Wilderness School! It's a great day to be alive. Today has been absolutely gorgeous. The sun came out this morning and shined down on the 6" of fresh snow that just came down last night. The beauty of the landscape is simply stunning. This has been a great month for us at Twin Eagles. We've been busy playing outside in the snow, studying winter ecology, working on our fire making skills to stay warm, singing, dancing, storytelling, making knives, and gathering as community to keep spirits bright. There is so much to be thankful for!

Kids develop authentic resiliency through real world challenges and traditional earth based skills as they experience the deep peace of the natural world.
Our highly trained instructors draw out kids' passions through nature based activities like:

Mother-Daughter Wilderness Program
For mothers and their 7 - 12 year old daughters
Friday March 31 - Sunday April 2, 2017
Cedar Springs, Sandpoint, Idaho
Motherhood - a monumental journey. A journey of seeing our daughters grow and change, and a journey of being a refuge and sanctuary for their greatest unfolding.
Through the mother daughter bond our daughters learn about trust and connection. It's that trust and connection that will take you over the hurdles of life with her. What greater place to foster and strengthen that connection than in the safety, timelessness and healing balm of nature?
What a greater time than now.
Imagine having a weekend where you and your daughter can come to the retreat of nature to nurture your relationship with one another. Imagine being nestled in a community and the common bond of other mothers and their daughters in the sanctuary of nature. Accompanying you on this adventure are female guides who can hold you and your relationship with your daughters as sacred and support the growth of your relationship when and where it counts. It's a time to really be present to your journey as a mother and to that very special gift in front of you - your daughter.
For hundreds of thousands of years mothers and their daughters have gathered together to experience the simple gifts of daily life: foraging and gathering, savoring the taste of delicious wild foods, singing together, dancing together, giving thanks together, building and creating together, laughing together and even crying together. In our Mother Daughter Wilderness Program we'll return to that beautiful way of living as a way of nourishing something special in ourselves and in our relationship with our daughters. We'll build natural shelters to sleep in, cook wild foods, bring forth the elements of fire and water, and in the process, magically deepen our bonds with our daughters, too.

Father-Son Wilderness Program
For fathers and their 7 - 12 year old sons
Friday April 28 - Monday May 1, 2017
Medicine Circle Eco-Retreat - Priest River, Idaho
When was the last time you stripped away all the distractions, and just connected with your son(s) and what is most important in life in the simplest way possible?
When was the last time you slowed down, really slowed down, and just connected with nature, on nature's terms?
Imagine taking four days with your son(s), and connecting deeply with nature and your boy(s) through ancestral wilderness survival skills, all within a small "tribe" of other fathers & sons that are like minded with similar values.
Since the dawn of time, fathers and sons have bonded deeply in and with the wilderness. Ancestral wilderness skills have an innate ability to deepen the Father-Son connection like nothing else. This Spring, we're running a very special Father-Son Wilderness Program at Twin Eagles. During this program, we'll make fire by friction, build and sleep in natural shelters, learn traditional hunting and gathering techniques, and track wild animals. Primitive wilderness survival isn't a "Man vs. Wild" scenario, it is an opportunity to build a deep relationship with the Earth. As you and your son do so, you'll find that your relationship with your son deepens in powerful ways.
We'll have facilitated, open heart Father-Son relationship deepening time, and of course opportunities to connect with the other fathers and sons present. Just as our earth based ancestors did, we'll utilize traditional earth based spiritual practices to help facilitate the connection, and have surprise elements too. We're looking for fathers and sons who are ready to open their bodies, minds, and hearts to a deeper connection, have epic fun, and take the time to connect with what matters most.

Blessings to you and your family this winter season,
